Our Mission
Jamiatul Muslemeen of Ottawa-Carleton (JMOC) is a federally registered non-profit charitable organization. Our mission is simple: Serve our Creator Allah (S) in a manner that would be acceptable to Him. Continue the work of all Messengers of Allah (S) from Adam, Dawood (David), Ibrahim (Abraham), Moosa (Moses), Iysa (Jesus) and the final Messenger Muhammad (Peace and blessings be upon all of them), who came to guide the mankind. Based on this mission, following core objectives are established:

Provide religious services to the Muslim community of greater Ottawa region

Provide educational facilities and opportunities for children, youth, and adults of the community

Promote pristine image of Islam to other religious and non-religious communities across the region

Facilitate inter-faith discussions to foster mutual understanding and cooperation

Preserve, practice and promote authentic teachings of Quran and Ahaadith of Rasool (S) as practiced by the rightly guided Khulafaa-e-Rashedeen, the Companions and the Salaf-e-Saaleheen (R)

Promote Islam within and outside of the community through an exemplary applied model in accordance with the original teaching of Quran and Ahaadith

Promote unity and sense of belonging in the community through inclusion and apolitical way based solely on sincere active participation

Carry out the work of general humanity locally and internationally as needed
