Sadaqat or Zakat ul Fitr is an obligation that must be paid before the Eid ul Fitr prayer. It should be paid on behalf of yourself and each member of your family. Based on the price of a staple food such as flour or rice, the amount due for each person is a minimum of $10. In order to facilitate timely assistance to the needy, you may pay as soon as possible.
